Follow-up Comment #2, bug #57575 (project make):
I agree with you that in the end their Makefiles are buggy. But these packages
build just fine with -j<whatever>, you don't run into these build failures
without -l.
screen is a rather small package, please try my simple loop yourself, with and
without -l, and I bet you'll see the same issue!
