This is the difference, when spotting a fire, between
"call your grandma and ask her to call the fire department" vs.
"call the fire department".

Or "warn that you have now crashed through six restaurant windows"
vs. "Sorry Bill, if I allowed you to proceed, you would have crashed
royally."
