If the partition is a boot/system partition then
- the "hidden sectors" field in the BPB must be adjusted accordingly
- if the place of the new partition changes in the partition table then
additional modifications are needed e.g. to boot.ini, etc
- files and the related NTFS metadata used during boot must be in the
actually set BIOS addressable range
