Dear Parted developers,
Please note the following error message, which appeared on starting parted.
Assertion ((C * heads + H) * sectors + S == A) at disk_dos.c:596 in function
probe_partition_for_geom() failed.
Ignore/Cancel?
The device in question is a Kingston DataTraveler II, a new 1GB USB2.0 memory
stick.
After receiving this error I carried on regardless, and everything seemed to
be normal except for the error message, which re-occurred after every
operation. As soon as I resized he original FAT16 partition (to make room
for a Linux partition) the error message stopped occurring, and the memory
stick now seems to be functioning normally.
