Hi, I've got the same problem here and was also wondering if anyone was looking into it.
Problem reproduced connecting from Windows Putty 0.61 (ssh) into: - Fedora-14-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso (64bit) - Fedora-15-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso (64bit) - Fedora-16-i686-Live-KDE.iso (32bit) - Fedora-16-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso (64bit) - Gentoo Linux 64bit, kernels 2.6.32.59, 2.6.35.11, 2.6.38.8, 3.0.17-gentoo-r2, 3.1.10-gentoo-r1, 3.2.1-gentoo-r2, and 3.3.5-gentoo - (all running under VirtualBox 4.1.16 in Windows 7 64bit host, Intel Core i3-2310M CPU) My Fedora 14 32bit systems do not reproduce the bug (kernel 2.6.35.11, running under VirtualBox 4.0.6 on Windows XP 32bit host, Intel Core2 Duo E7500 CPU). I wonder if the bug is related to Intel Core i3/5/7 CPUs architecture/optimization. For now, I've decided to bypass the bug by switching from bash to zsh and disabling readline as system-wide as possible (Gentoo). But it would be much better if this bug was solved...
