Hi, This is a bug report on the "date" function in Red Hat Linux version 6.1, running on an Intel CPU. There appears to be an error in the "date" function when setting the time with a universal time argument. Simple display of the date seems to work correctly. Details follow: When I attempt to set the universal time using any one of the flags: -u, --utc, or --universal the resulting system time is incorrect. Although the system time is modified, it is set to the same value as when no flags are present (it acts as if the specified argument is the local time). The three flags all work correctly for displaying the universal time, and display of the time without using these flags shows the correct local time. Thanks, Mark V.
