That's a false positive. Tar behaves correctly exiting with code 2, but ttyemu utility fails to correctly reproduce its output on stderr. Unfortunately, ttyemu is not portable and as recent tests has shown works only on GNU/Linux. I will remove that test. Regards, Sergey
