Hmm, makeinfo 4.13 does use the -I args to search for images, or so it
looks from the code.
Can you show us your actual failing example with the filenames and
cmdline args involved?
Try the attached script.
It seems to be related to the --docbook flag. With this flag, it warns that
picture.txt is missing, even though it's not. In fact, it shouldn't be looking
for that, but for picture.{png,jpg}-- PGP Public key ID: 1024D/2DE827B3 fingerprint = 8797 A26D 0854 2EAB 0285 A290 8A67 719C 2DE8 27B3 See http://keys.gnupg.net or any PGP keyserver for public key.
