I think that it is not an issue with the document, but with the fact that the DTD file is not found. Therefore it stops the parsing at the first entity, as it can parse elements without a DTD. I do not know where the browser look for DTD. I believe that it does not follow the uri in the document DOCTYPE definition but rather looks in the system catalog for DTDs, but that's a wild guess. -- Pat
