Hi,

The parenthesis characters are usually treated specially by your shell itself. So you will always need to escape those characters to ensure that they reach Wget as-is without the shell interpreting them as shell commands.

There is nothing Wget can do about this.

Hi!
Please correct this. GNU WGET does not escape parenthesis characters. and I had to escape them by backslash every time.
