Summary: wget no_proxy leading dot on (sub)domains not working contradicting man page Project: GNU Wget Submitted by: andi8086 Submitted on: Thu 12 Apr 2018 01:53:08 PM UTC Category: Program Logic Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 1.19.4 Operating System: GNU/Linux Reproducibility: Every Time Fixed Release: None Planned Release: None Regression: None Work Required: None Patch Included: None _______________________________________________________ Details: If no_proxy is for example ".google.com", then wget still uses proxy defined in https_proxy or http_proxy for all subdomains. But if no_proxy is "google.com", then it works for all subdomains. This is contra-intuitive and contradicts the man page, where the leading dot is specified. Also curl works with leading dots as well. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?53622> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
