Are you using wget in recursive mode ? In this case all HTMl files are downloaded first (to get parsed for more URLs). After that, the file will be removed if it fits into the reject pattern.
Can you provide an example command line just to see if this is the case ? If not, it's likely a bug. Regards, Tim
