This bug was previously reported and is fixed in CVS. See
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewcvs/xboard/moves.c?root=xboard&r1=2.1&r2=2.2
Unfortunately it's anybody's guess when there will be a new WinBoard release
that includes the fix.
