Follow-up Comment #3, bug #9593 (project xboard):
I think this bug was peculiar to the Analysis window, which has now been
removed entirely from WinBoard / XBoard. The Engine-Output window that
replaces it does not pop up automaticaly when an engine writes to it, and thus
cannot suffer from the described behavior. It simply opens and closes together
with the main window, and continues to collect output even when it is closed.
