Follow-up Comment #1, bug #39969 (project xboard):
the patch is slightly incorrect. you should not expand paths in the configure
script.
e.g. this line:
+ [ICONSDIR="$datadir/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps"])
is wrong -- it should use single quotes rather than double, and use $(datadir)
rather than $datadir
