YES! That was actually the first thing I did, packing the .ssh directory and e-mailing it to myself. I was not sure what to do with them, though; after concatenating the known-hosts file from both machines, and putting all other files the old machine had in .ssh on my new machine also, "git push savannah" still did not work on the new machine. So this is why I tried my luck using the old laptop as a relay. It turned out that this was because my remote definition for savannah was different on the old and the new machine; the new machine used http. (I must have once added that to pull from Savannah, although I originally cloned from hgm.nubati.net.) Now I added the same ssh remote on my new laptop, and IT WORKS! (At least, I got the popup prompting me for the pass phrase; I had nothing to push.) I am still dependent on that old laptop for creating the Windows installer, though. Perhaps I should look for a more modern alternative to doing that. _______________________________________________ Bug-XBoard mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-xboard
