Summary: Use obviously bogus value for off-scale high battemp
value
Product: OpenMoko
Version: current svn head
Platform: Neo1973
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: kernel
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
CC: [email protected]
The value currently used for off-scale high on battemp (2342) is not an
obviously bogus value (it can reasonably be interpreted as being in hundreds of
degree, which would give a nice ambient temperature of around 23°C). It would
be
best to use an obviously bogus value like 9999 (all-nines have traditionally
been used for invalid values).

so this is about the old PHP vesion of the openmoko.com website which was tested
(and whose PHP sources are in the webdesign svn tree), but never put into
production. Nothing to worry about.
Thanks again for the report, though.

We are aware of that issue, and are planning to have fixed, official MAC
addresses allocated for the usb networking interface for GTA02.

I think this might be related to the bug we had (#419) that didn't fully erase
the rootfs when flashing a new rootfs. This could introduce all kinds of
inconsistencies into the JFFS2 file system.
I therefore recommend trying this with a new u-boot version, and using that new
version to install a new rootfs image.. I'm confident the problem will disappear
at that point.
Please re-open if it still occurrs.
