During entering phone number Dialer change size of numbers entered. Currently
it does it when 9th char is entered and then on 12th. Those values are
probably hardcoded because with Dialer in landscape there is more space for
entering number.

For testing software it would be nice to have scap applet which would make
screenshot and upload it to http://scap.linuxtogo.org/ without asking any
questions.

Second function could be "wait 5 seconds and work" available on tap-n-hold on
applet.

I have dialer r2965. Hold "#" DialPad key - it will generate "#" and then "w".

After more checking - it looks like this is related to noise from touchscreen
as it sometimes works like it should and sometimes it does not.

Summary: During boot, init looks for psplash in /usr/bin -- which

Consider moving psplash from /usr/bin to /sbin.

psplash is launched fairly early in the boot process, and if /usr is mounted by
init *after* that, the user is treated to a text boot rather than the splash
screen and progress bar.

Additional Details:

On my Neo, I have an ext2 partition on the MicroSD card mounted at /usr, which
is an effective way to add space for additional user programs without having to
mess around with paths.

This works pretty well, except for the aforementioned lack of the graphical
boot. After the text, it boots into X successfully and everything seems fine.

There is no hard error, but a warning does scroll by.

Summary: Application launcher categories don't work right

This is a pretty well-known and long-standing bug, I think, but I don't see it
in the tracker, so I am documenting it.

The application-launcher component of openmoko-today2 has several selectable
categories (Applications, All, Games, Utilities by default). Only Applications
and All seem to work correctly. For example, under "Applications," if you click
on "Calculator" you get the calculator.

All other categories *show* the correct items but do not behave correctly when
clicked. In fact, all other categories act as though "Applications" is
selected.

So if "Bridges" is the second item under the Games category, when clicked it
will launch the calculator, because the calculator is the second item under the
Applications category.

GPS and BT power menu functionnality

This patch implements BT and GPS power up/down:

  - For the BT part, it just sets the power_on of the bt pm sysfs to 0/1.
problem is that it is not in sync with the panel-bt. i.e. if you activate BT
with the power button, the icon in bt-applet will not change. Need suggestions
on how to implement that...
  - For the GPS part, for the initial creation of the menu, it checks the value
of the pwron gps pm sysfs and will call /etc/init.d/gpsd start/stop
accordingly.

patch uicmoc4-native_4.3.1.bb to add QT += network in uic3.pro

This patch should be more convenient as a workaround for anyone experiencing
this problem. I don't know enough about the QT build system to understand why
this bug affects some people and not others. Like Matt, I'm also running
Gentoo, so maybe it's somehow related to that. My compiler version is gcc
4.2.0.
