I will add a function "cancel_atcmd " in gsmd to let AP has chance to cancel a
busy command (long command)
And, I may change it from the patch 355.

1. phonebook cache will not be in gsmd.
We will keep gsmd as a simple as possible.
We leave phonebook cache to service layer (dbus) or AP layer.
. Phonebook backup and update are STK issues
2. STK will not be supported.

I noticed the same thing while charging a GTA01V4 with usb cable under windows
at night. it will cycle boot/shutdown about 4 to 5 times in a night. It was
really easy to notice with the previous booting sound, it is much more discrete
today.

Fixed. Was due to single-instance launching and Dialer doing its own
single-instance handling, as hypothesised.

The home page has been redesigned and now doesn't show superfluous information.
If you find this is still a problem after testing more recent snapshots, please
re-open.

oh, don't worry, I didn't take offence - furthermore, I agreed with you too - I
started the redesign before reading this report :) You can see what the homepage
currently looks like at

how long that will stay active..)

wow, this makes me look silly... I was replying to an e-mail I thought was a bug
comment - the e-mail:
"Hi Chris
Thanks for the quick response, and in hindsight the word "superfluous" was
possible overly critical, it was not meant that way.
I'm not in a position to test until the product comes out, but when it does,
I'll be happy to supply more bugs if applicable
Thanks for the quick reply."

I think change /etc/init.d/gsmd as
- [ -n "$GSM_POW" ] && ( echo "0" >$GSM_POW; sleep 1 )
+ [ -n "$GSM_POW" ] && [ `cat $GSM_POW` -eq 0 ] &&( echo "1" >$GSM_POW;
sleep 1 )
may avoid this lock but not solving this problem.
/etc/init.d/gsmd will be start and stop for many times when boots up. (This
will cause system hang)
I think there should be only one place to start it, wherever it is.
:-P

[This e-mail has been automatically generated.]
You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.
All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.
Generally, this means one of three things:
(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.
To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.
Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.
You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!
