Because --disable-debug was set in glib, the assertations were skipped and the
application did not exit earlier as it should have done.
I have now added some further error checking and message dialogs to inform the
user if the address book could not be opened.

For some people, xglamo has some artifacts when scrolling.
Typically, lines of the scrolled region are actually lines that belongs to the
region coming right after the scrolled region.

Summary: Mediaplayer adds files to a playlist in an unpredictable
order

All of my music files have filenames that start with the track number, but I
can't predict the order in which they will show up in a playlist generated by
the mediaplayer when I select an entire directory.
Sometimes they turn out correct, as in 01-02-03-04-05-06... etc.
Other times, well, here's an example:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Also, it doesn't seem to be reading tags correctly.
Note that the first track has a correct title, but the others do not. I have
verified that the files are tagged correctly.

Summary: Mediaplayer gets VBR mp3 durations incorrect
Product: OpenMoko

I can't say whether this is true for fixed-bitrate files or not.
For VBR files, when looking at the main play screen, the elapsed time/total time
counter in the lower right corner acts strangely.
The elapsed time starts at zero and increments every second, as expected. But
the total time starts at an incorrect number and fluctuates, sometimes up,
sometimes down, as the track continues to play. Usually it starts from a
way-too-high number and drops quickly to a low number, then comes back up to the
correct value.

------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-11-28 21:22 -------
Never mind my comment on reading tags -- they only seem to be read the first
time the player actually plays the track. After that, the playlist is rewritten
with the appropriate title/creator information. But the durations are
incorrect, per bug# 1041.

------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-11-28 21:23 -------
The media player receives the track length through gstreamer's libmad plugin so
this isn't a media player issue per se. I'll have to check what can be done on
the libmad side as this most likely is the culprit here.

(1 of 3) Add result events for modem power-up and -down.
Currently the modem power-up and power-down operations returned no result
report back to the client who requested the operation, so that the client could
never tell if the operation finished yet. The power-up command is the first
that will request PIN so we need to know whether it succeeded and when.
Me and Thomas figured out that the initialisation done by a gsmd client (say,
Phonekit or dialer) should be something along the lines of:
while (1) {
power up the modem;
wait for the result code;
if (successfull)
break;
if (pin required) {
ask for pin and send to modem;
wait for the result code;
} else
deal with other errors;
/* Retry from start */
}
