Patch for some file ins src/
This patch marks as translatable some more strings in src/ files.
A couple of windows' title, a message, and some date/time strings:
- (02%d:02%d) not all languages use ':' as separator
- (%I:%M%p) as above and not all use the locale's AM or PM
- (%A, %d. %B %Y) some languages could use a different order here.

Using openmoko-messages2 - 0.1.0+svnr3615-r0 when receiving an SMS, it is not
displayed. I can see the SMS come in and being stored (on SIM), but there is no
notification. This is true if the sender is in contacts or not.

I tried to apply your patch but it lead to strange issues wrt dist and distcheck
targets (esp. in a recursive configure context) so I chose to revert it for the
moment.
Can you point me at accurate and recent documentation (or examples) on these
i18n issues (especially wrt to the differences between LINGUAS file and
ALL_LINGUAS configure.ac directive or intoolize vs glib-gettextize)?

but create two bugs to solve these errors:

You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.
All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.
Generally, this means one of three things:
(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.
To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.
Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.
You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!

Before we got to try the patch I experienced the problem here. I noticed that
when it is corrupting pixels, there is a "hum bar" kind of effect vertically
which somehow alters the colours of pixels in vertical ranks slowly, over a
couple of seconds in a vertical sweep. The pixels are rewritten behind
this "wave front" so the display is still pretty legible.
I also noticed some kind of interlace or interleave is visible making the
pixels "twinkle" where they differ between the two lines.
I wondered immediately if the problem was a slow pixel clock, and the "hum
bar" in that case was the capacitive decay of the TFT gate level over time.
Sure enough when Willie got a 'scope, we measured PCLK in the bad mode and
afterwards in the good mode: ~1.7MHz vs ~24.5MHz or ~15 times slower when it
is bad. So it seems likely this is to do with PLL settings or issue with wait
for lock.

I checked within GNOME's documentation, in particular with the old LINGUAS goal
from GNOME: http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/PoLinguas (it says to use
IT_PROG_INTLTOOL, but other openmoko applications use AC_PROG_INTLTOOL).
On GNU gettext docs there's not much about LINGUAS
(http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/gettext_10.html#po_002fLINGUAS)
Usually it's only needed to change the ALL_LINGUAS. I checked with other
openmoko applications that have the LINGUAS file and the configure set properly
(openmoko-browser and feedreader) and also with some GNOME applications.
Basically for translators it's easier to have the LINGUAS file inside the po/
directory, so they can work only in that directory and not need to touch the
configure.ac file.
I will check more deeply within other docs too.
