Ok, I would love to see the contents of
/sys/bus/platform/devices/soc-audio/codec_reg for both working and non working
situations from people.
After that please try the attached patch on your kernels and see if that makes a
difference.

Summary: matchbox keyboard maps differently with USB plugged in
Product: OpenMoko
Version: 2007.2
Platform: Neo1973
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: openmoko-keyboard
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
CC: [email protected]
Okay, this is a weird one.
On a recently-built image (earlier this week) including kernel 2.6.24, the
matchbox keyboard works differently depending on whether USB is plugged in or
not.
I have the multitap keypad removed and the matchbox keyboard reinstalled per the
wiki -- http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Switching_Keyboards -- and most of the
keys work fine.
BUT the 7 8 9 0 - keys act as follows:
With USB plugged in, "7 8 9 0 -" turn into "{ [ ] } \" (regardless of shift or
caps-lock state).
With USB unplugged, the "7 8 9 0 -" keys yield "7 8 9 0 -" as one might expect.
This is repeatable, plug in => weird result; unplug => normal, over and over
again.

[This e-mail has been automatically generated.]
You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.
All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.
Generally, this means one of three things:
(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.
To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.
Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.
You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!

I think this can be the JACK_INSERT issue... Miles had an A5 which would spew
false interrupts from this after boot for a while.
The JACK_INSERT circuit is not great, we should perhaps disable this interrupt
not just for wake but as an interrupt.
Maybe Graeme could eyeball /proc/interrupts.

Guys is there a way I can reproduce the effect of this bug without making a
call? So if it comes up a "bad" kernel, can we see the bad behaviour in a
simpler way by using aplay from the shell, simplifying the number of things
involved in this issue?
