A wifi applet has been implemented. This needs a recipe to be added to the
build.
Reassigning to John
NB: This still needs an icon.

What happens if you hold down the powerbutton for >= 8 seconds? Didn't it
shutdown?
But this is of course nothing that a normal user would suspect!
Maybe we can make a wrapper script about X, wich tries twice to start X and if
it fails, it invokes a reboot?

Summary: old fic* device names in qemu-neo1973 env file
Product: OpenMoko
Version: current svn head
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: qemu-neo1973

According to http://blog.automated.it/2008/03/29/changing-device-names/ the
Neo1973 device names have been changed from fic-* to om-* in openembedded,
which directly affects the firmware image filenames.
src/host/qemu-neo1973/openmoko/env, however, still uses the old image names.
This diff should help:

I just re-tried this with the new phone I was issued while in Taiwan.
It now associates with with OpenWRT kamikaze firmware fine. So I think seeing as
prototype #36 which I had before had other "issues" it probably doesnt actually
affect me.

My observation for this so far:
graeme's neo + T-mobile pre-paid sim --> 18 times re-camping to network in 10
minutes
my neo's + T-mobile pre-paid sim --> 17 times re-camping to network in 15
hours
These two neos have the same kernel, uboot, rootfs, gsm firmware, IMEI, and
tested at the same place(Taipei).

Summary: Stability issues with illume/e and Qtopia
Product: OpenMoko
Version: unspecified

OS/Version: Linux

Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Xfbdev (kdrive), Xglamo

I have Xglamo, elightenment with illume and Qtopia running. If I use the slide,
show and hide the application. Xglamo starts to crawl. The load is fine, it
looks like Xglamo is still going to the event loop. But enlightenment seems to
be stuck in XQueryPointer (poll) for more than a minute. Allow new clients take
ages to connect to the Xserver.
This behavior can easily be provoked by clicking a lot with a Qtopia/X11 image
and the cause is not really known. I will upload my image somewhere.

UPDATE: I flashed brand-new kernel (2.6.24+svnr4285-r4251-r5) and rootfs images,
performed the following to replace the multitap keyboard:
ipkg remove -force-depends multitap-pad
ipkg install matchbox-keyboard-inputmethod
ipkg install matchbox-keyboard-im
ipkg install matchbox-keyboard-applet
(Per the Switching_Keyboards page on the wiki)
. . . and the problem persists, exactly as described. It doesn't matter what
kind of system my GTA01 is plugged into, Windows or Linux.
This used to work!

You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.
All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.
Generally, this means one of three things:
(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.
To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.
Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.
You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!
