Media player works fine on a cold start.
Then I suspend the FR :

  # apm -s

or if I let the "dim first, then lock" option suspend it after a while.

On resume, sound isn't working anymore in media player.

And I guess this means you can't take an incoming call out of suspend.

I know the suspend/resume is a work in progress but this have to work in
order to allow a decent battery life.

Comment(by andy):

How old is your kernel? Try cat /proc/version for a quick idea. You will
need to make sure it is updated to something current if it is the one that
 was used in the factory.

I tested audio on resume by aplaying a beep out of the back speaker thing
before and after, and I even tested suspending inside a longer aplay and
 hearing it continue after resume.

It would be nice to have a little status popup when you click the
openmoko-panel-battery panel icon to show :

 - current charge/discharge current
 - current voltage
 - expected lifetime
 - etc...

Shouldn't be a problem since these values are in
 /sys/devices/platform/bq27000-battery.0/power_supply/bat/*

Comment(by emilis.info):

I was trying hard to reproduce this bug today, but nothing seems to work.

I have a FreeRunner with latest updates (opkg update & upgrade).

I started investigating the bug, when I left my FreeRunner connected to my
laptop and on returning noticed the unresponsive phone, but usb0 ssh
connection still open. Didn't know how to get all logs at the time, so I
only have `ps aux` diff before and after starting X server:

 What I tried today:

 - powersave: dim + phone locked manually (I don't like having to wake up
 the phone with power button)
 - wifi (as much as I remember): always turned off after starting
 - no applications running / dialer running / dialer + messages running /
dialer + messages running, terminal launched and exited

I think when I restarted X server it asked me to supply my PIN number. The
fact that X crashes for no apparent reason and inability to reproduce the
bug leads me to guess it might be due to something from gsmd -- maybe some
GSM event causes X to crash. I turn off Wifi, BT and GPS, so I see no
other input sources for the device.

Comment:

Nevermind, looking at the code, and then verifying it on the Freerunner, I
see that this is already implemented.

Now I’m wondering why the main display constantly shows an unread SMS,
while Messages does not know anything about it, but that’s a different bug
 then.
