Next round of questions.
So what do you try to do:
- You launch the qtopia mediaplayer
- You start playback of a file?
- Clicking Remove while playing is active is not doing anything? What
does happen?

Okay. I have not the slightest idea what you use.
876ed02211e50547856491ad54a75299b62efe4c as revision of Qtopia is from the
30th of June. There has been 89 Qtopia commits since then and we are at
r37 (r38 with tonights builds) for the qtopia packages as well.
To summarize: You use an illume version that wants Qtopia to provide a
keyboard but you use a Qtopia version that has not the slightest idea that
it should show a keyboard...
I know for certain you don't use the feed of the daily ASU build, but what
do you use to get your packages?
In the current state of things I would like to close this bug as invalid
if you don't mind.

Comment:
if its certain apps that aren't closing it is almost certainly that app
that has the problem. the remeove button either kills the x client - which
is rare - or sends a "WM_DELETE" message to the APP - the APP then has to
respond by closing its own window. if it doesn't respond - nothing to be
done. this is the same mechanism used in E for all windows, on the
desktop, which has worked perfectly for years... so i'm finding it very
hard to believe this is a problem with E (especially since it also works
in ASU with the qt apps and EFL apps that are there by default as well as
other test apps).
i have never seen this not work (unless the APP doesnt want to exit - eg
it's hung). i can really only mark this as "worksforme" because it does
work for me... and has always done so... so unless i can reproduce it...

The daily-feed repository and the daily images buildhost.openmoko.org are
broken for ASU. I think you should be using http://downloads.openmoko.org/
instead.

#1664: Use openresolv for resolv configuration

Ideally, DNS nameserver configuration should be transparent. The DHCP
client should indicate the nameservers it has found, and the system uses
them - and that's what openresolv does.
It looks like adding openresolv should be easy - it's posix shell and
userland compliant, and well maintained.
Using resolv conf would make the instructions in
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/USB_Networking a little easier, and it would
make wifi, bluetooth, and cellular networking feasible.

#1665: use dnsmasque for local dns caching

Devices will spend a lot of time on slow, unreliable, and (probably)
expensive networks, so using a local DNS cache seems to make sense.
dnsmasque seems like a good idea, and should be able to be added with just
a few configuration file changes.
