Comment(by hedora):

 Sorry; lost track of this. I just set the headphone volume down a bit,
 and messed with the mixer settings. I don't want to send a patch, since
 the changes are specific to the headphones that I bought, and the noise
 levels during my commute.

Comment(by morphis):

 I can confirm this, Mercury. I removed all libecore0 and dependencies and
 reinstall them. Finally I removed my ~/.e directory.

 I attached the script, which did the job for me.

 Openmoko generated the attached xml tag when I told it to import a big
 directory. It isn't valid UTF-8, which prevents mediaplayer from opening
 the playlist after creating it. The string likely contains some garbage
 characters that look cool in some encoding scheme; I don't know if this
 bug would be triggered can be triggered by titles written in a real
 language.

 (Also, the error message from mediaplayer could be improved; it simply
 says "could not open playlist", when it should say "Corrupt playlist file.
 XML error: Invalid UTF-8 Encoding", or something like that.)

Comment(by hedora):

 It looks like the invalid string (the "title" field) in the .xspf is
 copied directly from the filename. The bogus character is \372.

Comment(by hedora):

 I can no longer reproduce the problem I was reporting with kernel:

 kernel-vmlinux_2.6.24+git25+8533927964761f4e2078ccd8607b90f5acc60b93
 -r0_om-gta02

 I don't know about the problem where it stops charging then runs the
 battery down after many hours. I've never had that happen.

Comment(by fwendt):

 @Brian: Regarding your last also (meeting at 10-11, change start to 9:45
 and end time is automatically set to 10:45), this is how Evolution,
 Outlook and my SonyEricsson M600 behaves as well as most other calendar
 applications. Perhaps this is what most people expect too? Rescheduling
 happens quite a lot, but changing both start and end time is not as common
 in my experience.

 Great, between your report and that version I added several patches around
 this area. I leave the bug open because this is slightly different than
 the original report.
