Comment(by cjb):

 I'd like to help with this if I can. So far, do we think that it's:

  * virtual screen size being set wrong
  * glamo not noticing that the viewport changed
  * glamo noticing, but not performing input rotation properly
  * something else?

 Thanks.

 I have a 71234 G 3022 SIM on GTA02 hardware. The sim card is not able to
 register and when I do libgsmd-tool -m shell, it throws up CRE Error : 32

 I have experienced this same bug. The touchscreen is useless in landscape
 mode, on both the 2007.02 release and ASU.

Comment(by emdete):

 after sbeh from #neo1973-germany found out, that gps works when the sd
 card is not inserted, a fix for that problem can be found here:
 http://www.openmoko.org/wiki/Image:Gta02_gps_10pf_rework_sop.pdf

 there are still thinks to clarify: does that fix work in a gta01 also? are
 there more problems than that?

Comment(by sirkha):

 I have a "71234 G" 4022 Card from AT&T (brand new, newest they have, they
 say) I have found that wiggling around the sim card in its position will
 sometimes make it register, after a restart, suggesting a mechanical
 problem. Currently it is... working... but who knows how long that last
 (it has been off and on.) I will attach a picture.
