Same here: dim, don't lock (dims after ~10s and) locks after ~40 secs from
the last operation.

I had the same error when trying to install a modified neod to run
openmoko-eightball (http://westhoffs-
welt.de/blog/my_first_openmoko_application.html).
the neod file is located at
http://westhoffswelt.de/data/blog/moko_eightball/neod
I did:
cd /tmp wget
http://westhoffswelt.de/data/blog/moko_eightball/neod
cp neod /usr/bin/neod
chmod u+x /usr/bin/neod
and restarted
afterwards i got the same error
i force-reinstalled neod and it works again
