Replying to [comment:14 andy]:
> 3) is correct for the light, it did stop charge. Taking battery out ->
shutdown seems to be separate hardware problem we had for 6 months.
For this, before this image, if I plug in USB/charger then I can take out
the battery without any effects(won't shotdown). Not now anymore, did I
misunderstand something?

Comment(by andy):
There is a window that the device will stay up without a battery, then it
will shutdown, it has been this way for a long time.
You cannot boot without a battery either.
Unless this got better on A6 or something that is how it is with GTA02.

#1763: The qpe process vanished. (bootind 2008.8)

I installed 2008.8 to my SD card and now i get this error (at the stage
where the two boots appears):
"The qpe process vanished. This is bad. This is not mean and is likely a
sign of a bug in Qtopia. Please try to reproduce it and report this
problem...."
Then I can "F1" for restart or "F2" for exit...
I cannot press any button, but I can ssh into the phone.
I installed the rootfs and the kernel from
http://downloads.openmoko.org/releases/Om2008.8/
Mmaybe something went wrong when converting it to a tar.gz file to
populate the sd card? It would be usefull if there was a tar.gz file
already available.
If you need more info about my device (gta02v5), kernel, rootfs or u-boot,
please ask and tell me what you want me to provide (the commands to obtain
the info would also be usefull :))

#1764: cannot switch layout on Om 2008.8 keyboard

Hi.
I just flashed Om 2008.8 and I have found that the keyboard cannot be
switched to the "terminal" layout, or any other, making it totally
unusable. There was an icon in the top-right corner of the keyboard in the
previous snapshot I tried (openmoko-openmoko-qtopia-x11-image-glibc-ipk--
20080806-om-gta02.rootfs.jffs2) wchich allowed to change the layout, but
it is missing now.
Opening the "Settings", I see nothing relevant to keyboard configuration.
btw, I'd be also interested in making the "terminal" layout default, as I
have no use of the current default layout ...

Comment(by lindi):
Installing pulseaudio-module-suspend-on-idle_0.9.10-r4_armv4t.ipk and
adding
load-module module-suspend-on-idle
to /etc/pulse/session seems to solve this. Is there any chance you could
make this default?
