Re-opening because I have seen an IRC report that suggests dfu-util -U
data corruption is still present with production GTA02, and because I can
reproduce it on my production GTA01Bv4.
Prior to this test I executed "nand erase kernel" from the u-boot console.
I then downloaded a kernel image, uploaded it to a different filename, and
compared the results. As shown by the following log, no errors were
reported but the uploaded file differs from the downloaded one at byte
offset 12289.
Host PC is Intel x86_64, OpenSuSE 10.3. u-boot is u-boot-
gta01bv4-1.3.1+gitr52+dc633f4be2527f844158aa5085c278b0c3039d3f-r0.bin and

I would like it, if the phone would not go into suspend mode when it is
plugged into a power source. Currently I have to disable suspend in the
menu when I plug it into the USB port.

The phone usually runs out of power when I am not watching it, so a few
nasty beeps would be very helpful.

I would also like the phone to hibernate / suspend to disk before it runs
out of power. That way the user doesn't lose his/her work. Should I create
a separate ticket for this?

I have seen many projects dealing with wifi and I think people are making
great progress. However, I think it would be a good idea to have one
overarching ticket: just to define the end goal.
The goal should be that connecting to a wireless network should be as easy
as it is in Windows and it should work out of the box (so new users don't
have to do the USB network drill).
* a main menu option called "Wifi / Wireless networks"
* the menu contains a list of visible networks, signal strength, security
etc
* click on a network to connect to it (it may ask for the password)
* automatically connect to trusted networks

With the ability to show the dialog which allows starting a qwerty
keyboard, it would become less unusable :
> 3. a full qwerty keyboard (a usable one like that in the FSO, or the
matchbox one.)
So I guess "fixing" #1654 would help a great deal...
Still it wouldn't help a lot wrt the fact that dictionary is english and
you may want to write in other languages for instance.
