#1730: SELinux Kernel Support

Comment(by andy):
I am running around like a crazy man with ten different jobs at the
moment, but I did in fact try this out here a few days ago. I enabled
SELINUX but had it default to disabled, it did not cause any disruption I
could see.
Recently I started creating "moredriver" kernel images and sticking them
here:
http://people.openmoko.org/andy/
these are built direct from defconfig-2.6.24 at the moment. How about for
now I adapt defconfig-2.6.24 to support SELINUX but leave the distribution
configs alone for now, then you can use kernel binaries from that dir.
All the critical modules like sound / WLAN / Ethernet over USB are built-
in, but there are no other funkier modules.
Is this moving you forward?

hmm, these two should be in the default image. Did you interrupt flashing
or flashed the gta02 image on a gta01?

Comment:
The reason I closed this bug is. The summary says a library can not be
found, we identified that the library is not on the system (this explains
why it can not be opened), we saw that the instructions do mention the
installation of a package and this explains why the library is not
present. If one is following the instructions (like installing a package)
the setup is not going to fail at that point.
For OM2008.8 bluez-utils-alsa is in the feed and with my initial closing
of the bug I encouraged to file separate bugs if the package is not
available in the feed of your favored flavor (2007.2, FSO...).

This is not the same bug - please re-read the initial description.
> Additionally, usb is not working, no connection from ubuntu.
This has nothing to do with the wifi bug mentionned here.
> Power icon does however change to indicate usb power.
That also has nothing to do with the wifi bug.
Please create another ticket for that after checking for existing bugs
concerning this problem.
> Back story : I previously has 20080806 installed and wifi and usb worked
fine.
No 20080806 was ever released - I don't know what you used before.

I set this to testing because I think it is solved by now. Please reopen

#1792: SMS not received properly during suspend
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------

Component: Qtopia | Version: OM-2008.08
Severity: normal | Resolution:

Comment(by thomasb):
Looks like you're right, and this is more related to initialization than
to suspend.
I just sent myself two test messages, one before and one after a
suspend/resume cycle. I got a receipt confirmation for both on the sending
phone (though for the first message only after waking up from suspend),
but no incoming notification on the Freerunner. Both messages only showed
up when manually opening the "Messages" application.
So the problem persists. I'm attaching a log.
PS: Actually, only now I realized that I'm also affected by #1766. Until
now making calls, for example, always worked for me when I tried it with
OM2008.8.
