Comment(by werner):

I can't quite make sense of this bug report.

So boot_image.png is what you want to see ? What does the "incorrect"
one look like ? Or is this a request to change the screen image to a
 new version ?

using tee(1) to create some log file and view the output gives horrible
performace, because tee writes output one character a time (both to stdout
 and to file):

 to test:

echo foo | strace tee bar

 gives

 ...
 read(0, "foo\n", 1024) = 4
 write(1, "f", 1f) = 1

 Replying to [comment:1 zecke]:
 > What is the issue besides showing "FATAL"? With ASU we have one kernel
for GTA01 and GTA02 and loading of the module just fails?

None, as far as I know. I don't like error messages - often they hide
 bigger problems.

It's a blocking for me as well. I still can't use my phone as a phone,
unless I revert back to 2007.2. I'd say it's pretty critical.

I have my phone set as an alarm, but if I also set the phone to suspend
after an x amount of time, the phone turns itself off, yet when the set
time rolls past, the phone does nothing.
Only when I turn on the device itself the alarm goes off.

I have the 2008.8 image of 20080808 installed.

What do you set the alarm to?
What is the output of date telling ou?

 To-do list display a pop-up each time I close it :
 Application Execution error.
The log file says it s a segmentation errors.

I use ASU/2008.8 with the Zecke opkg file for update

To close To-do, I use the "remove" from the top bar, since there is no
 close button.

 Logs : Error Signal Information:
gpe-todo was interrupted by a Segmentation Fault.

 Output Data:
         There was no output

 Error Logs:
         There was no error message
