#1847: Om2008.8 suspends while charging
----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
Reporter: Treviño | Owner: raster
Type: enhancement | Status: new
Priority: lowest | Milestone:
Component: E - Illume | Version:
Severity: trivial | Resolution:
Keywords: | Blockedby:
Reproducible: always | Blocking:
----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
Comment(by Treviño):
Ok, this is true; btw my intention was asking an option like the one
available in Qtopia (famebuffer version): different profiles when the
phone is charging and when the phone is not charging.
For example, if you're working at your phone via ssh if it suddenly
suspends you could lose some work... I'd prefer that when the phone is
powered by usb it should only dim. This should be an option, of course!

#1824: FSO: GPS time not available in TangoGPS

Comment(by hedora):
Updating to FSO-testing gives me a time in tango gps, but the 'trip
duration' is still zero.
Worse, the GPS time says it's 7-1-1985, and the clock moved forward by
10-40 minutes each second. Perhaps the units used by gypsy don't match
those expected by tangogps?
This happened during a stable, high quality GPS fix over a period of a few
minutes. Haven't had time to see if its reproducible, but I've never seen
it under 2007.2.
'opkg list_installed | grep tango' says:
tangogps-fso - 0.9.2-r1 -

#1766: [GSM Signal] no signal, can't make phone call but can receive calls

Reporter: dexteruk | Owner: zecke

Comment(by self):
For me it's a bit better but not perfect. When using zecke's -dev or
-testing repository, the dialer becomes really slugish. That seems to
happen only after the FR is registered to the network, before the dialer
application works fine.

Comment(by polarbaer):
I have the same problem with a 8GB SanDisk-card, even when the 2008.8 is
installed on the micro-SC. Since I have a Qtopia in the flash (to have a
stable phone) I backed up the partitiontable via
dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/home/root/backup.img bs=512 count=1
and put the restore-command
dd of=/dev/mmcblk0 if=/home/root/backup.img bs=512 count=1
to any bootup-script in Qtopia, in my case to the top of:
/etc/init.d/mountall.sh
so it fixes itself once I boot my Qtopia.
Not a fix, but at least a very bloody workaround.

#1792: SMS not received properly during suspend

Comment(by thomasb):
I tested it again with the %CSTAT fix from #1766 (by upgrading to the
latest zecke-testing feed) and this seems to have fixed it for me: On
incoming SMS the device wakes up from suspend and I get a notification.
Great! :-)

I've tried a number of different star and pound special numbers. Any

Okay, I'm a bit slow but my -dev and -testing feed should have a possible
bugfix (for a problem I created by trying to fix another one...).
