Comment(by Sander):

 I just tested Andy's patch and it's looking good.

 Did a couple of suspend/resume cycles in FSO and the SD card still has its
 partitions.

#1844: [Dialer] Support Emergency Call and Alert message "No service" or "No

    Reporter: regina_kim | Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Type:  enhancement  |       Status:  new

Comment(by zecke):

 a) Qtopia has a list of emergency numbers you are allowed to dial. It is
 in src/server/phone/telephony/callpolicymanager/cell/cellmodemmanager.cpp.
 Due the legislation I never attempted to dial this number. You should be
 able to dial the listed numbers... if not file a bug and tell me what the
 issue is.

 b) Yes there is no indication that no SIM is present. Qtopia is capable of
 signaling it but currently illume will not display anything. This would
 require a small spec/icon and an implementation in illume.

Comment:

 Please see bug filing policy:
 http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Bug_Filing_Policy. I see no GSM log so I
 don't see any issue here instead we talk about what could be the case.
 Maybe space invaders hijacked your local GSM network? they are known for
 that... ;)

 With the lack of a log message... When you write a new SMS and click send
 it goes to the Outbox, if sending succeeds it goes to Sent, if it fails it
 goes to Drafts. I see nothing here to believe that this is not the case...

 tested with the image below:
 kernel: Om2008.8-gta02-20080903.uImage.bin
 rootfs: Om2008.8-gta02-20080904.rootfs.jffs2

 The repository package can be reinstall again now, after uninstall
 community repository package the small packages like comic-reader will
 also disappear. Go to Install categories-Repos you can install the
 Community Repository package back.

 The only thing that I'm not sure is how we can recognize the packages were
 from community or default by openmoko.

 But this ticket has been solved, thank you tick. :)
