#1691: [Qtopia] qpe crash happened after flash the new image

Comment(by zecke):
Get a dev to do the following on your device:
vi /etc/X11/Xsession.d/89qtopia
before launching qpe add a "ulimit -c 99999999", restart the device if
qpe crashes provide me with the coredump (probably don't attach it to the
bug report).

Please stop this handwaving. I don't have a working magic eight ball and I
don't think mine is going to be fixed anytime soon.
What is so difficult to attach the output of logread.. When you say out of
10 times eight times fail you would see something like this in the log...
ATD911;
NO CARRIER
ATD911;
NO CARRIER..
but guessing what might be inside the log message is something I don't
feel like doing.

No idea. The log looks fishy. How many qpe processes did you run?
Specially the first AT+CPIN? the lack of a reply, AT+CIMI and +CMS ERROR,
the early asking for the phonebook... really fishy...Most likely something
else, if the issue persists file a new ticket.

Comment:
@self: a) You use the plain Qtopia, you might get more help at Trolltech
for that.
b) The TI Calypso does not know that we are in suspend. And we have
automatic call operator selection enabled. So even if the network is lost
it should reconnect. For suspend we disabale network registration status
messages (at least in our version of Qtopia).
@testing: Could you test this issue. Leave the device suspended for a
while and give it a call, give it a call until you can connect and see how
often you need to try that?
at the end of the day it is a TI Calypso issue... or something we don't
yet understand about this chip.

I've updated today my stable om 2008.8 through opkg update, opkg upgrade
and I can still (happily?) reproduce this bug. So If you need me to test
something, just ask me. (mail: info#alasal,be)
