#1964: [ti calypso] Sometimes TI Calypso fails to dial out and is not reachable
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: zecke | Owner: openmoko-devel
     Type: defect | Status: new

---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
Certain numbers (like the emergency numbers as of #1635) do not dial out
but the modem reports "NO CARRIER". This can also happen for normal
numbers even when the signal strength is good enough.

We would need to know what the TI Calypso is thinking in those cases.

Comment:

From the logs I have seen. Qtopia is doing everything correctly. It tries
to dial a number, the modem says it failed (NO CARRIER), Qtopia says the
call is disconnected (well because it is not dialing anymore... and not
connected). So I would say Qtopia is doing everything correctly here
(besides the issue with SMS listing erin created a patch for).

I have created another ticket #1964 which is supposed to be a reminder
that we need to look into the TI Calypso. I close it as "invalid" as this
is not a Qtopia bug, #1964 remains open...

You can see an incoming call with +RING and %CPI messages... then an ATA
or AT+CHLD should be executed... all of them are not visible... please
 provide a better log.

Please read http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Bug_Filing_Policy. You set a
milestone, you set a wrong component... you are not supposed to set
 anything of that.
