Comment(by Weiss):
I've been doing a bit of research into this because it affects me as well.
I tried installing a GTK 2.10.14 package onto my Freerunner and the
problems went away. I traced through the 2.11 development series between
GTK 2.10 and 2.12 (having created a BB recipe): It looked like the problem
started between the final development release (2.11.6) and the first
stable release (2.12.0). Alternatively, it could be caused by one of the
patches from OpenEmbedded (which are different for 2.12 than for 2.10).
However, TangoGPS works fine on my Ubuntu laptop, GTK 2.12.9.
Has anyone noticed similar things happening with any other GTK programs?

Comment(by thomasb):
I can add the observation that GTK+ 2.14.2 seems to work, too (I simply
tried the newest version with a BB recipe already available). That version
jump is a bit invasive, though, because several dependencies have to be
upgraded, too. If there's interest anyway, I can provide a patch against
the OM git tree that upgrades the preferred versions in the distro config.

#1597: after a long suspend time, kernel thread events/0 sits eating 30% cpu

Comment(by lala):
Yes, after a while events/0 stops eating CPU.
Somewhere between 11-19 hours after boot events/0 raised in (h)top.
Between 30-35 hours uptime dropped to 0-0.6 %CPU. Somewhere between 48-53
hours uptime raised again in "pole position". It's seems that is changing
its state every ~17 hours.

If some application is already loaded, and available from drop - down
menu, (e.i. dialer) is called it takes few second to load, while (from
drop - down menu) it comes to foreground almost instantly.
Can it be broth to foreground instead of reloaded if desired application
is already loaded?

#1766: [GSM Signal] no signal, can't make phone call but can receive calls

Comment(by dan):
OK, I have somehow the same issue:
- the phone registers with the network (ROGERS)
- I can receive calls
- If I try to make a call, it says "Disconnected"
- After that, I cannot receive calls anymore
I downloaded the Om2008.8-gta02-20081014.rootfs.jffs2 image. I thought
that the fix that zecke is talking about is already in. It seems not?
I also see that the fixes in ~zecke dissapeared in the meantime. Is there
anything I can do now?
I attach my logread dump.
