Comment:
the feature is in upstream, yes. But still, it has not been tested or
used by somebody within Openmoko on an openmoko device, as far as i know.
nonetheless, it is definitely not as important these days than it was some
time ago.
by the way: is anyone working on s3c6410 support for openocd?

Comment(by andy):
Why did we make this "highest" priority if it is "definitely not as
important these days"... it really isn't important for us at all any more
AFAIK, on any GTAxx. On GTA01 and 02 we use a scheme to push the
bootloader into steppingstone the SDRAM both by JTAG for board bringup
followed by DFU, for GTA03 we use direct SD Card Boot which is already
working here on SMDK. So I would like to close this as WONTFIX.
Ben Dooks mentioned he has ARM1176 macrocell support (rather than SoC
level s3c6410) up in openocd already.

Comment:
GTA02 testing has had it, it is stuck with current system.
For GTA03, U-Boot has been deprecated and there is an effort underway in
Taipei by Chris Hall to provide a script-based verify and test framework
with all actions done in a Linux rootfs and captured into scripts.
So I'm going to say it's fixed because whatever happens U-Boot isn't
coming back in our production action.

Comment(by andy):
Our memory clock is 100MHz on GTA02, that is in FM band. It also comes
out of CPU to external SDRAM chip.
On GTA03 all the SDRAM is in the CPU and the actual base clock is 133MHz.
If this thing only happens in U-Boot and not kernel for whatever reason,
we will change to Qi soon which spends only a couple of seconds in the
bootloader anyway, so I guess that is the fix.

Test with this testing image, it doesn't happen with this problem, but i
would like to double check that. Close this one later.

Comment(by andy):
This seems to have come down to specifically GTA02 U-Boot behaviour around
the power button. We will be moving off U-Boot to Qi which has no mode of
sticking around in bootloader. For GTA02 case, remaining NOR U-Boot can't
easily be changed anyway.
Unless I miss something I will close this as WONTFIX after delay for
comment.
