easy to reproduce (for me):
* take out the sim card, boot neo without it.
* use other phone to make sure there are still messages in sim.
* shutdown neo, put sim back, boot, open qtopia messages

* there's no tick sound in om2008, only in the image we shipped in 2008.4,
which is actully om2007 and yes the name is super confusing.
