Comment:
Confirming this problem still exists; seems to be an upstream issue that
has also been noted by the Debian community:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=501222
The workaround suggested (use --default instead of a specific bt address)
works, although admittedly it is a less-than-perfect solution.

Comment(by pbondo):
I was under the impression that we were not supposed to see this with the
2.6.26++ kernels ?
Still get the WSOD with a current stable-tracking kernel (using QI to
boot):

Comment(by marek):
I know that the bug itself was fixed. I'm picking it up here because it
was reported (again) on the community mailing list (subject: [2008.x]
Settings app not working). You will find 2 threads with the same topic
(including an error message). Its the same error message provided in #2088
I think your reproduction steps are the way to go.

The !WiFi UI can't be fixed that soon. The support has been removed. See

Comment(by andy):
It is "fixed here" for some days on stable-tracking (actually, andy-
tracking)... it seems that what is left is the device- or temperature-
specific WSOD that is seen by some folks after blanking.
Today I will look further at it.
