It's very strange that opkg upgrade need to do twice to get all the
packages upgraded. I think it's a issue in opkg dependency calculating.
This issue is relate with #2109

Comment:
Hi, as I figuring out, it can be 100% reproduced after rebooting the
device.
How to reproduce:
1) launch the dialer
2) go back to home screen.
3) click the dialer desktop icon.
4) in dialer screen, click "select contact" icon.
5) here comes the issue, the "select contact" dialog is just like
quarter sized.
The strange thing is after playing the neo for a while, this issue's
gone. Still not sure what is made to make this phenomenon gone.

Replying to [comment:81 nicolas.dufresne]:
> Andy: I've try the reset switch but it won't clear the white screen. I
can see the kernel output telling me it did something. I've also try to
manually switch the driver state, but again it did not clear the WSOD.
Maybe we have to reset everything on the SPI ?
What makes it puzzling is I can confirm the GPIO from Glamo that form the
bitbang SPI bus are operational at this time, and the reset /sys thing
performs a hard reset and the same steps used at boot to re-init the LCM
asic... and we NEVER see WSOD at boot (the brief one until recently
doesn't count, it's the backlight coming up before the LCM asic gets
initialized).
> Note that I've produce the bug without suspend (just blanking) and I'm
running latest andy-tracking kernel (2.6.28-GTA02_andy-
tracking_b6d34d41617a6315-mokodev)
I'm currently imagining that the reports of WSOD on resume are actually
some form of the blanking WSOD happening immediately afterwards, dreamlike
as that may sound with no evidence.

> Ok, I found what I did wrong in my first test. I've confirmed that now
the Freerunner is charging, but there is still a small issue, status still
display Discharging and online 0. They seem not to be updated. Note that
this fixed the health field (which was displaying Unknown before).
Great.
The display status issue is probably due to /sys breakage on new kernels.
I noticed that somewhere along the line (I thing Sean McNeil's android
stuff) we are now completely stood off from real HDQ access in the
power_supply stuff, instead it is polling at 30s intervals or so and
everything seems to be using the cached copies, that can also impact
display status maybe.
