Comment(by andy):
Understood... I just added a packaging config for John Lee to use to make
these new packages and posted about it on the kernel list. So hopefully
soon you will be able to easily use the new 2.6.28 stuff and tell us about
all the bugs you find :-))

Comment(by jldominguez):
It seems like this line is causing the problem:
...
public static final Font TILE_PROBLEM_FONT = new Font("Dialog", 3, 12);
...
We have not changed that line recently. It used to work. For your
information, from the Font class doc:
"style - the style constant for the Font The style argument is an integer
bitmask that may be PLAIN, or a bitwise union of BOLD and/or ITALIC (for
example, ITALIC or BOLD|ITALIC). If the style argument does not conform to
one of the expected integer bitmasks then the style is set to PLAIN."
java.awt.Font
public static final int BOLD 1
public static final int CENTER_BASELINE 1
public static final int HANGING_BASELINE 2
public static final int ITALIC 2
public static final int LAYOUT_LEFT_TO_RIGHT 0
public static final int LAYOUT_NO_LIMIT_CONTEXT 4
public static final int LAYOUT_NO_START_CONTEXT 2
public static final int LAYOUT_RIGHT_TO_LEFT 1
public static final int PLAIN 0
public static final int ROMAN_BASELINE 0

Thanks. I see that vala-terminal is in OE but not the testing repository.
I'll file a ticket for that.
