DirectoryIndex problem with index.php

           Summary: DirectoryIndex problem with index.php
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.35
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.isl.org:4080/staff/
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other Modules
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I configured PHP 4.2.0 as filter and added index.php to the directoryindex list.
When I now call http://www.isl.org:4080/staff/ it will display incomplete HTML
code as ASCII in the browser. Adding an index.php to the URL results in the
correct resulting HTML-Page.
This has also been reported to the www.php.net.
Please verify because I am not sure if the problem is in the php code or in
Apache.

Thanks.

Kai Hofmann
