Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by "after updating or commenting out 
the php module"?  I downloaded the binaries of Apache2, and installed them on 
my machine, due to a security concern which is mentioned on your main page.

I did not recompile Apache, nor did I change anything else.  I uninstalled the 
old version, installed the new version, and it failed.  Period.

I'm not sure how long it will take PHP to create a specific module for this 
binary release of Apache, so I'm unsure of how to proceed -- other than going 
back to the prior version of Apache2.  Thoughts?
