Please see: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_mime.html#addtype which gives a link to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_mime.html#multipleext and http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/directive-dict.html#Syntax both of which explain how Apache handles multiple extensions.
