http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19677 restarted Apache processes on Windows lost to parent? Summary: restarted Apache processes on Windows lost to parent? Product: Apache httpd-2.0 Version: 2.0.45 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: mpm_winnt AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I've been hacking on a loadable module in C and periodically I do something bad and it segfaults, taking the Apache worker process with it. The process is then restarted. But when I kill the main process via ctrl-C (I'm running it from the command line in a DOS box during testing) the new worker process doesn't stop. I must use the task manager to find and kill the new process. It seems lost to the parent. Easily recreatable by referencing a bad or null pointer in a C module. A minor annoyance to me and shouldn't ever happen in a production environment. Still, somewhat disconcerting the first time it happened, fixing it would probably help other module programmers who work on windows and occasionally make mistakes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
