http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22396 index.html.zh or index.html.zh-tw.big5 is missing META tag ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-08-25 19:04 ------- 1. I can't really see any reason at all to view this page directly through the filesystem. It is a test page to tell if the server worked. Viewing it few the file system tells you nothing. In fact, things are clearer if it doesn't work. 2. Adding that tag may simply hide some other problem. If you can't see the page properly through the server, then the problem causing that should be addressed, not worked-around. For example, it may be that Safari is being case-sensitive, since the type-map file designates this file as Content-type: text/html;charset=Big5 I'm not sure what is proper, but if there is a problem, it should be fixed. It could also be that your apache install has an out-of-date or incorrect type-map or config-file setting. 3. These test pages are just an irrelevant annoyance anyway. They should probably all be removed, since they cause much more trouble than they are worth. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
