http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=39500 Summary: Release dates missing from Apache pages Product: Apache httpd-2 Version: 2.3-HEAD Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Documentation AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Finding out when a given Apache version was released by the Apache HTTP Server project is at times a task worthy of Hercules. The Announcement page on the web site does not have it (http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/Announcement2.2.html , http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/Announcement2.0.html , http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/Announcement1.3.html ). The Changelog included with each version has not had the date of release since November 1995. The Announce mailing list (http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/httpd-announce/) is inconsistent in announcing new version; for instance, the announcement for 1.3.35 and 2.0.58 is bundled with 2.2.2, but 1.3.34 rated its own announcement. Given the wide usage of the Apache HTTP server, one would think that basic information such as when a given version was released would be easier to find out rather than slowly walking through the subversion repository's comments on the announcement files in httpd/httpd/dist/ . -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
