Summary: Stopping a httpd that was run from console
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.11
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Documentation
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jhannw...@gmail.com

The docs say that we can stop httpd.exe by "opening another console window and
entering:"... "httpd.exe -k shutdown".

See http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/platform/windows.html#wincons

That doesn't work. It seems the -k switch will look for httpd installed as a
service.
