Thanks for the fast response. Unfortunately the patch did not change the
regression behavior and the problem persists.
Looking at the release download page and the public mirrors, it seems that you
formally consider 2.4.46 the current latest release, but making signed 2.4.47
source tarballs available in that same download location was reason for us to
believe that 2.4.47 was a sanctioned release as well. Which is why Slackware
upgraded to 2.4.47.
Perhaps you should retract the 2.4.47 source tarballs from your mirrors.
